I am looking to getting a deer cart since I hunt by myself and I have a long way to drag one out. I was looking at one mande by eastman outfitter's that had angled wheels and I thought looked pretty rugged but as usual the are no longer being made. Any recommendations??
Thanks,Todd
Todd,
I've had the Super Mag Hauler by Cabela's for eight years and love it, buy the wheel sheild kit the make for it. I use it for haulin' deer, goose decoys, beaver traps and on occasion my canoe.
My only regret was not buying a cart sooner.

I also have the Super Mag Hauler! Good piece of gear. I'd buy another one if I could ever wear this one out.
Used one for the first time last year, borrowed a friends. Liked it so much, got one for myself this year - and I also got the wheel sheild kit.
The VersaCart has angled wheels, I'm not sure if it is the same one. Love mine. Only complaint is only the handle folds in so it isn't very compact. But very stable hauler. I was thinking they were a sponsor, but maybe that was on another site. My daughter, only 15 at the time was rolling her own deer and hogs out.
Can't remember the name of the cart(its at the cabin) I have but the nylon/plastic wheels blew out the first time we used it. The maker replaced the wheels free of charge. I recommend one with the wire spoked wheels. It also folds and come with carrying straps. Works great. Bought it at Gander Mountain.
This works great for me (http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0005568&navCount=2&parentId=cat601052&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat21424-cat601052_TGP&parentType=index&indexId=cat601052&rid=)

I bought one a few years ago from Harbor freight. It is basically a cargo carrier that fits a receiver hitch that has removeable wheels and a handle. It can be used in the hitch, or removed and used as a deer cart by adding the wheels and handle.
It was about $69.
I have one with-out angled wheels, and with a flat bed. I won't mention the manufacturer, but it's awful. It's always tipping over. Buy one with angled wheels. AND, make sure the weight is cradled. That way it stays low, and centered. When it shifts, it tips !!
Mine is a Cabelas Super Mag. Don't know how I got along without it, great piece of gear...
If I had a long way to drag one out, I'd be hunting out of a Tree Lounge that has the optional wheels for attachment that turns it into a cart. Good luck !

Cabelas SuperMag Hauler fan here too.
I had one stolen from me at Illinois deer camp a few years back and bought another one straightaway. Just having my cart has been the demise of many deer that would have otherwise had a free pass.
i got one from walmart a few years ago think its a ameristep brand ihate it not worth hoot it tips over even when empty and the shape is kinda like a v thats ok if it didnt tip , Anyone else got this cart ,
Thanks guys! I am goingto go with the cabelas supermag hauler. Sounds like a winner to me!
You won't be sorry. I also have one. I put some pipe insulation on the handle and step inside of the handle and let it rest on your hips. It pulls easy that way and you just have to lean forward to get it over rocks, etc. That way you use your legs and not your arms to pull it.

Taking a boy hunting has it's advantages. :D
Nice idea rbbhunt. No doubt it is more stable that way too. I can always learn something here. The Super Mag will be in the back of my truck also.
