Although not a sponsor to this site, those Whippensticks look great! I hear they are real shooters too. I digging their longbows. Anyone want to chime in and give any opinions about these bows? thanks craig
I have 2 and another one coming ...
Ken is one of the finest bowyers going round and his bows are superb. He is great to deal with ... A true gent , great service and great products .
You might find bows as well built , looking as good and equal in performance ...
You might ...
But I doubt you'll find better...
Just my 2 cents ...
I own/have owned, Black Widows,Bow River,Robertson,Dale Dyes,Chek-Mate,Damon Howatt,Hoyt, Browning,Pearson,Assenheimer and probably a few others that don't at the moment come to mind. I have had opportunity to shoot abunch of others at shoots or belonging to friends. Since I got a Whippenstick Phoenix I have had to rethink the merits of any other bow I own.Up until the Whippenstick the Fazio Balistic was the fastest bow I own, the Assenheimer was the quietest and the Chek-Mates the most stable. In terms of beauty? My Dale Dyes and my early
????????Robertsons are reasonably close seconds. Iguess I should point out that Ken and I have become good friends but I felt this way about his bows before I had even met him.

Ken is super and so are his bows... Just can't beat him...
x4.. Ken`s LB are one of the best performing bows , if not the best, I love my one piece LB!!
He is a great bowyer and person!!
This is what Im reading everywhere!

I test-drove his longbow, his Inferno and I own a Phoenix. Ken will give you a hard time to find a better/ faster/better mannered bow, better craftmanship or better service.
Don't buy one, because it might be your last :)
I've really been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of his Phoenix recurves...and I'm not even a recurve guy. That bow just looks awesome!
One of the best bows money can buy!
I have owned a couple dozen custom bows. Ken is a genius and my whippenstick is the fastest bow I've ever shot through a chronograph. Bill
I have a Whippenstick Inferno static - custom "Wolf's Bane"
One smooth shooting, fast recurve! A beautiful bow! ;)
I have a 71@28" 65" whippenstick and it is a super sweet bow. Fast, quiet, dead In the hand, and hits where you look. Awesome bow.
I have a carbon backed longbow 63#@28" 65". Best shooting bow I have ever picked up. Also, I think Ken's fit and finish are second to none. Highly recommend it.
Craig, I have two WhippenStick longbows. Both are super quiet, hard hitting, and fast! The Thunderbird 2-part epoxy finish that Ken puts on his bows is armor-proof.
If you go to Ken's website (www.whippenstick.com), the first longbow pictured under is longbow menu is mine (Dall Sheep horn overlays, Tamo Ash veneers, 64", 45 lbs.) Ken delivered this to me in July at Denton Hill. He quickly set the brace and nock set by eye, after which, I shot a few arrows in camp. Next day, I tweaked the nock set and went shooting. I had one of my best days ever on the courses.
I ended up purchasing another 64", 45 lb. longbow with carbon-backed limbs from Ken. Wow! This bow is also an awesome bow! I killed my first whitetail (7-pt. buck) shot with a traditional bow this archery season with it. As referenced in previous posts, Ken is a real stand-up guy. Excellent to deal with and very helpful.
Does Ken make any longbows shorter than 64"s ? Recurves shorter than 62 ?
BINGO! Love these bows but won't bite till he's got some shorter ones. Hopefully one day?
I know he makes a 60" whipplash. I wish I had some extra coin. I'd buy one for sure. I don't think that model is on his site though.
thanks for the replies ! I need another bow like I need a hole in me head. But there is always room for a GOOD bow!
I won't' say it will happen but I've got over a dozen high quality custom bows that I no longer shoot now that I have a Whippenstick. If it turns out the same for you, sell the ones you no longer shoot and you will have room to add another Whippenstick.

Pics anyone?
I have a 65" longbow that I picked up in a trade. This bow is one of my most shootable bows and tops in all departments. I almost sold it last year which would have been a mistake.
