Thinking of ordering some Arrow Dynamics shafts. So which one for my set up? Bows are 45to 50 lbs at my draw length and I am shooting 175 gr heads. Will be shooting at least 29 1/2 inch long shafts, may leave them full length. I am thinking of the Trad Lites. For those with experience with the AD shafts, will these work with my set up? Or would another be better with this set up?
I will check with to see which sponsor has them in stock.
Thanks in advance.
the Lites should rock.
Exactly my set up and exact same arrow specs, lites will be perfect!
I'm shooting a 50 lb bow, 1/8" shy of center with ff string. I have 29 1/2" AD lites with standard inserts 175 up front and they fly well. Total arrow weight 498 grains
Thanks, AD lites it is
Trad Lites for sure.
I shoot them from several bows in that range.
I'd leave them full length to start with.
Does anyone have a wood grain AD Trad they can spine on a 26" center (wood arrow way) and know the spine(in pounds#) on a spine testor?
Jeff, thats kinda tough cause they are tapered the last foot of the nock end. If I check as tight to the nock as I can they are about 80#, the front end, parallel, is about 130# (off my scale).
Eric
I guess it depends on the bow. I shoot 46@29 and the trad lites were too weak for both my set ups.
Got the trad lites and they do look a little weak at full length. Hopefully they will be better a little shorter. I can probably cut up to an inch off. Haven't really had much chance to play with them yet.
The trad heavies will be too stiff for you with that point wt. You would need 300 gr up front to use the heavies.
My bow is 51lb @ 29. I draw it to 31 1/2". So it's about 58-59lb.
I use the AD Trad heavies with 175 gr pt. (I notice the newer shafts are just a tad stiffer and I may need to go to 200 gr pt.)
My bow is a newer black widow. I use the black shafts. Haven't found a use for the wood grain ones. Don't care for them.
