Looking for quiver recommendations for a quiver for my Big Jim's Buffalo bow that I have on order.
Since he sells his own line of quivers, might as well go with one of his.
If you like a bow quiver, go with Big Jim's. He builds some nice ones. I personally do not like bow quivers, Tried many and couldn't get along with them. I went with a GFA quiver. The arrows are at my back or side and easily available,
I love my great northern quiver. been using the same quiver for 12 years. light, durable, quiet, and easy.
On a Big Jim bow I think the only logical choice would be a Big Jim quiver...the deluxe one, if affordable for you color matched. If you're interested in carrying a whole slew of arrows, perhaps contact thunderhorn? they make the Barta Quiver, it holds 6 in the hood, and 2 arrows external for blunts, etc. It also can be matched to the color of your bow.
For my longbows, I don't like bowquivers. I feel that they bring a longbow out of balance and they don't belong there. I use a back quiver for my longbows.
I've just got a safari tuff, I'll never use a bow quiver again...
I have an eagles flight archery on my hybrid long bow (strap on model) and its great. They have a lot of different options on their website- check it out!
I like EFA 3-5 arrow quiver as they are very light on a longbow.

Eagle from Lost Nation or a Kanati
Thunderhorn Boa is my favorite go to quiver.
I would wait til you get your bow.
I just got my big Jim buffalo on Friday. Before i got it I was bow quiver shopping too. And decided a big Jim fit the bill perfect. butt now that I got the bow and shot it a little I just do not want to put,a,quiver on it. I just feel it would throw the balance off too much so I asked Santa for a arrow master. Hope I like it I always try different quivers but always go back to a bow quiver. This being my first longbow and never trying an arrow master I hope it works out. If it doesn't a big Jim bow quiver will be finding its way to my house.
PS you will love your new big Jim.
I'm a Great Northern guy. There are a few nicer looking quivers out there, but no better functioning quiver out there!
Strap on model for my one piece bows and quick mount model for my takedowns!
Btw, I do not hunt with the quiver on the bow. As soon as I get in the stand, the quiver comes off the bow.

Any of the EFA quivers with the Totem option,
Bill

I vote for a Big Jim's on one of his bows.

I have a Big Jim quiver on my Buffalo. I highly recomend it. I have the large and it will hold my Simmons Tigersharks or Woodsmans with no problem. I usually carry 4 broadheads and one hexhead blunt. I tried a Thunderhorn once and it was too heavy for me. Jim's is fairly lightweight, it seems to balance out with the way that I cant my bow, and it makes the bow shoot quieter and smoother.
I have a big Jim buffalo and have a great northern longbow quiver on it and I love it
EFA is the only quiver I use on my longbows, actually, on most of my recurves too.
I just saw this so thought that I would respond belatedly.
Tippit, I see that you have a flashlight on your bow. We have been developing that idea also. I'll try to get a couple of photos on here. They work with our Wing attachment and can be used with or without the quiver. They are not on the website yet so anyone interested would have to call to order. They are $30.00 which includes a LED flashlight like the one shown.
