There's just somethng about them. I shot a few Ace Standard 145's tonight (mounted on 30 grain adapters). They look cool, they fly great, and sharpen easily...plus, they're inexpensive and tough as nails.
And they kill stuff dead! I have used the 125's to kill hogs and deer both ... just plain wicked!
I have shot through a hog spine, through a deer brisket, many ribs, cut through a scapula ... man it is one awesome head!
I glue mine to a wood shaft of Doug fir, tapered. Very little FOC. Yours should do even better!
Bob.
TxAg, funny you mention that I've been eyeing them for a week now. What I want to do is get some stiffer spine woodies and shoot the 200 gr Aces. Decisions decisions...
They are my favorite head. Can't seem to find the 200 gr Express heads anymore.
I love the ACE heads as you know, and agree with all of the above.
My choice is the 165 Express, but I have used them all except the Hi-Speed.(need to try that one I guess)
Centaur, Contact Bob if you can't find them. I am sure he can set you up.
Ace heads are top notch for sure
This is a graphic example of how effective a 200 grain Ace Super Express broadhead can be. Ouch!

My favorite is the 160gr. glue on. Great broadheads.
Shooting the same setup TxAg. Slices through a yote a few weeks ago so effortlessly I thought I had missed him ..... BUT I DIDN'T! One more turkey poulte snatcher gone.
