I recently came upon a Drake Recurve bow made in Lakeside, California. Bow came from a 30+year unoccupied homestead in PA. Drake sticker and #2536 is all that is on the bow. Has leather longbow grip. Researched it a bit and think it is from the 50's or early 60's. Harry Drake, who is in the Archery Hall of Fame made the bows before going to Browning. Need some help if anyone knows about this bow. Can send pics at a later date.
Go over to the "Trad History/Collecting Forum" and post your questions. There will be plenty of guys to help about the bow & Harry Drake. Drake bows are really great bows too.
Thanks, will give that a try later.
Drakes are fantastic bows.
I had one my grandpa had made for him. I got it until it blew up one day. It was about 25 years old when I got it and I shot it for 6 or 7 years.I really liked that bow. It was a recurve 47#@28" 66".
