Title: quiet strings
Post by: mec lineman on November 26, 2013, 06:04:00 PM: I need a new string for my recurve. That bow has never been that noisy, but I want to see if a new string will take it to the next level. I want to use a sponsors product. Any suggestions ? Also the only string silencer Ive used is catwhiskers. Is there any opinion on which is better beaver or otter or possibly wool

They make the quietest strings that I've found yet. An added bonus is they make your arrows marginally quicker too.

Hush puppies from the trad gang store are very effective silencers, also the bow hush works well for recurves.
