Title: Centaur ILF
Post by: tomcat8910 on November 24, 2013, 07:24:00 PM
Let me start of by saying I was really skeptical about trying an ILF bow at all. What intrigued me was the ability to adjust several different aspects with an ILF bow. I had read the review that Andy Ivy did on the VPA Vapor and I really liked the riser that VPA had, but I wanted to try Jim Neaves ILF limbs. So the telephone calls started and I must say Jim Neaves is a very patient man, because I had several questions about ILf limbs, risers and limb pocket angles etc. Jim answered all of them and more. I told  Jim I had ordered the riser from VPA Archery and I was ready to order the limbs. I decided on XL limbs and 50#, so this would make a 60" bow. Well about 2 1/2 weeks went by and my limbs were here. I opened the box to find some very nice limbs with carbon weave and I was impressed with how they just snapped into the limb pockets on the riser, solid! I took the bow outside to shoot it and it just felt right. With a little adjustments and about 1 hour later this bow was shooting lights out. Centaur makes one heck of a nice ILF limb and I can't say enough good things about Jim. Jeff at the VPA Archery was super as well! I will be hunting with this bow hard in the next few weeks. I will try to post some pics of the bow if I can figure it out.

Jim Neaves is the man.  Once the newness of my Triple Carbon wears off some, maybe in a few months I may order a pair of the ILF limbs with copperhead skins.  Yup, Jim will happily do one of his amazing skin jobs on the ILF limbs too.  He does an amazing job on copperheads- does a copper colored base paint under them to make em pop!
