Title: Need help...buying st.joes river bow for my little girl
Post by: Nathan Killen on November 23, 2013, 07:59:00 PM
I'm trying to deside what poundage at what draw length. I want something she can shoot for a few years. She's 8 and 54" tall, around 55#. Any of you guys have experience buying a bow for a little girl ? I really enjoy shooting with my baby girl and would like to get her a nice little bow for Christmas !

A 60 inch length would not be too long.
Best way to measure draw length is with a yardstick or tape.
Measure from center of chest to end of finger tips with her hands together and sticking straight out.

A suggestion would be 15 to 18 pounds at 24 inches.
Guessing she might have about a 20 inch draw right now.

I only deal with wood bows but think glass bows would be pretty similar.
