Cedar Ridge! I had Art make me one with a hand painted turkey on it. It is breathtaking.
Thanks Centex, post a photo!
I haven't done any with deer antler buttons yet, but might be able to dig up a couple Sitka Blacktail antlers at my folks place during Thanksgiving.
Here is mine, pure quality from Scott Teaschner. Very soft leather on the inside and pre-shaped. First class craftmanship all the way, very comfortable and it will last a lifetime and probably longer then that. ........

I really think Scott's work is some of the best out there. His knife sheaths are on the upper shelves as well.
However, Chris Fanin that goes by juneaulongbow has some wares in the Sponsor's Classifieds that are not too shabby. I bought this one for the wife and she LOVES it! It's called Yen & Yang. Didn't break the bank either!

WOW, Guys! Those are some beautiful arm guards. Thanks for all the information on the great leather craftsmen!
Art Vincent made this for me a couple of years ago. It is from a pic of my 3rd K-9 partner Arrow. I met with Art at Kalamazoo a couple of years ago right after my buddy past away. I talked to Art about K9 Arrow and he told me to e-mail him some pics and he would see what he could do. Art nailed it. This one piece of gear is very special to me and is an exact likeness of Arrow. It has some marks from hunting but has held up great. I hunt hard and tough on my gear. Art is very talented and his prices are very reasonable.

Not much wear on them works of art!
That's right, I never hit my arm... Just insurance....
No antler buttons but I'm really happy with this one from Wyoming Wildlife Artistry.

Thats downright cool!
Thanks Izzy.
having a hard time finding Scott web site
anybody could give it to me
thanks
He shut it down.. Check that social media site he has a page there.
Very nice, Easykepper. Amazing, Izzy!
Tim Roberts & Farr West leather does an amazing job! He is a sponsor here as well! Sorry I don't havea photo of his amazing arm guards to post.
Hey Chenry, Who makes that beautiful side quiver you have shown in your picture?
Hey Dennis here are some of mine. The bone one is from 3Rivers,nothing super nice, but it's comfortable and it was only $23. The other one is from Jhawk. It doesn't have bone, but it's still pretty nice. I think Chenry has a Big Jim side quiver that is like mine in the photo. You're not going to beat them for the quality and the money.

Wow Juneau, That is about THE SHARPEST armguard I've seen yet! Beautiful!!!
Has anyone seen a watch incorporated into an armguard? As I was sitting in my stand this year pondering life I thought 'boy it sure would be handy to simply check my armguard for the time. Don't like pulling out my phone and when I wear a wrist watch it's always covered by cloths.
nice stuff
Anyone have positive contact info for Scott Teaschner? I couldn't leave a message on his phone, and can find no email address. I don't communicate via Facebook.
Grant put this one together for me back on 01. It is sweat stained and well used.If it could only talk....

I found this info on Facebook:

The email may not work since he's closed that website.
I dont know if its the photogenic thing going on or not; but I always like the looks of the arm guard / small knife. I still may get one someday.
Cant believe no one posted a pic yet of this combo.
One of a kind custom. Elephant hide with Tippet blade. Yep, I wear it - that's what it was made for  ! (http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s456/TradBob/image_zps5993e7c7.jpg) (http://s1052.photobucket.com/user/TradBob/media/image_zps5993e7c7.jpg.html) \\

Sorry for the pic quality. Phone tends to wash out close ups!
Thanks, Rick. Those arm guards are awesome! I thought I wanted bone on my arm guards but after looking at all these great arm guards from Jhawk and all the other leather artists, I'm going to reconsider. That 3Rivers quiver is also going on my Christmas list!
Truly awesome, Mudd, Juneau, JL!!! RbCorbitt- Love the knife & bone!
Thanks, Chenry!

You're on to something Nigel.

Wow! Sorry so huge. Didn't realize it was going to be giant. Anyway made by Shane Kaylor of primitive leatherworks. The inlay is bullfrog hide, exterir is buffalo if I remember right. The underside is made with the same leather they use for prostetics. Very comfortable, flexible, and the bullfrog is super durable.
Here is my "fancy" armguard. A friend of mine made this. He used to sell them, but I think he has retired from that now. It looks so nice I have never worn it!

VERY NICE, CA, Souther,Bisch, Zipper & Larry!!! :clapper:
Chris, I have to agree with Tim, That is a great looking arm guard!
Thanks Guys!
Gotta chime in because nobody mentioned American Leathers...
I have a real problem with stiff, constricting armguards causing my left wrist to bugger up, which I unfortunately have no idea is happening until the day after, then I can't shoot for two weeks. I bought one of their gloves and was so impressed with it that I decided to try an armguard. It's not fancy, but it's super comfy and well-made, with a pigskin interior and buffalo exterior.
The only complaint I could have is that it's tended to absorb sweat and get a bit blotchy, but that's the nature of the beast with soft leather, unfortunately. It's a tad expensive too, but I'd buy another.
My latest for a Trad Ganger.

Thanks for the kind words Glenn. Never got to ask if you killed a bear this year.
I haven't seen that one. Very nice.
Nice work jhawk. And yes he did!
Ya Sam, I got a nice chocolate boar with a cool blaze. Not the biggest bear in the woods but I'm thrilled with him. Going back in a few years to try and get a bigger one! (Wearing this armguard) :)
