Title: contact cement
Post by: Slickhead on November 18, 2013, 06:01:00 PM
Anyone use it for spiral flu flus?
I noticed a you tube video on using it for spirals.

Just wonder if it affects the arrow finish.

I've been wondering how these work and go on. I saw your post and it made me remember and I went and saw a few videos on you tube also. They don't look like they are too hard to put on. I don't know if it would affect the finish or not. I would only do ones that I planned on leaving on there.

Ive done glue, but not contact cement.
Glue works well but Im guessing something like contact cememnt or superglue gel may be good

There was some cut in a banana shape that looked nice

Good luck

I have used contact cement, and it works great! Only sticks to itself. need to let it dry about 20-30minuets before using. Make sure you apply to the shaft and the feather both. I like to take natural turkey feathers and after spitting the quill, I peel them and apply cement to the thin membrane. Holds good and looks great.
