Title: Anybody use thunderhorn two point quiver?
Post by: kunsangsean on November 15, 2013, 08:39:00 PM
Anybody using this two point quiver on takedown bows? I just got it in the mail and am a little stumped as I thought the it would fit under the bolt fitting. I'm not sure what that piece is called but it goes between the bolt and the limb. Washer type piece. So I can only fit the quiver attachment in between the washer and the bold which seems wrong - I believe it should go between the limb and the washer piece. Enlighten me on this anyone?

I use I one. I always put the washer on the limb first, then the Thunderhorn part, align the holes and then the bolt. It works just fine, but maybe I dont understand your problem?

i have a two point. you have to pop the bezels (the countersunker washer bit you speak of) out of the limbs then reassemble with the quiver brackets between the limb and the bezels.

I put the top facing forward and the bottom back. Love the way it balances the bow.

I am not understanding your problem. Most 3 piece bows have a brass or black bezel with a washer undernieth it. Take the bolt out, the bezel and washer will come off, put the quiver under the washer and bezel and replace the bolt, simple.

Oh, I always put the quiver between the washer and bolt. Any advantages the way you do it, Danny?

Alright, I feel like a dork now. I thought it wouldn't fit between the bezel and the limb but it was just that the leather was too tight, so I had to force it through now it fits. I'm still a bit nervous about the extra space it creates in there, and hoping that the bolts still have enough grab on the riser. The quiver puts something like an 1/8th of an inch more space in there. Any of you guys use this on a Predator?

Ad,

I guess it is a matter of preference. I just see no need to put the washer under the quiver, it is covered in leather and will not hurt the bow.

Sean,

I am not familiar with the predator, but have used them on every 3 piece bow I have ever owned, and I have owned every top end bow out there, with no problem.
