Title: string for a 56" longbow
Post by: beaunaro on November 15, 2013, 11:33:00 AM
I just purchased an RER Vortex, one piece, 56" longbow from the classifieds.
Who would I call to get the proper Fast Flight String for it.
Can you recommend a string maker who might have one in stock or could build one fairly quickly?
I'm itchin' to shoot this thing.
Thank you.

I've used bearbowman at flemishstrings.com, SBD, and Oliver Stacy all awesome strings no complaints about any.  I know braveheart archery stocks SBD longbow strings as short as 54".  If you need to have one made Oliver Stacy had the quickest turn around time for me.
Good Luck

Rocky Mt Specialties makes a good string. Give them a call.

Tim at Braveheart Archery stocks SBD strings in some standard sizes but 54" ASL is as short as he goes for longbow strings. Lots of people like bikini strings from lefties r us. Both are sponsors here.

LEFTIES R US.  I usually have my strings in 3-4 business days.

Allen will hook you up and go way out of his way to customize the string exactly like you want.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys.
I called Allen at LRU and I should have the string by the beginning of the week.
Awesome service, just like you said.

Irv, the stars were aligned correctly today. I was able to start your string this afternoon. I will get it finished and in the mail tomorrow morning.

No sense in a guy having a new bow that he can't shoot!
