Saw 11 deer tonight. Had this 9 point youngster pushing three does around. They all filtered through my funnel right in front of me several times.

Great looking buck TJ. I would shoot the first buck that gave me a shot this season. But that's me and in my area. Go get him.
You are a better man than me. I'd be shooting the first one to come by..
Tom,
I admire your restraint, and your willingness to venture out among the orange coats. I hope you get a crack at that monster!

WOW! I would be holding out for that bruiser also!
Great buck! I think I'd have to try to hold out for that one too. Good luck!

Id probably mess my shorts if he walk by my stand. in my neck of the woods our average buck is so small we just rub tooth picks together to rattle them in.
Tom,
Is this the one you just showed us a week or so ago from the trailcam?
Man he's a "Hoss"...Praying you get that chance to put that tag on him..
wow that is some deer! Good luck with him
He worth waiting for sure. Good luck.

Yes Keefer, this is him. The spot where he is hanging out is very tough to hunt. Its in a small bottom where three valleys intersect and the wind in there is very swirly. When the wind comes with or from the direction of one of the valleys I can hunt it. I have been down in there many times and sat for 20 minutes and had to leave.
Killing a deer like this with any weapon would be a tough ordeal and especially the way we choose to hunt. I haven't laid eyes on him. I really appreciate all the well wishes in letting the air out of him though. No gun hunters in here but you know as well as I do, any day he may take a notion to go wandering. There are a pile of does in there so hopefully he will stay around.
Going back in there in the morning and planning to sit all day (wind pending).
Get on them bud!!
You have him pegged...his days are numbered!
Nope! Get the big boy!!!
I'd wait too, TJ. I don't have anything that big here, but I've passed on several smaller bucks, giving them a chance to grow, hoping a bruiser comes by.
Tom,don't blame you for waiting,my problem would be if I killed something like that they would need to drag us both out,LOL.Good luck, hope you get him.
I know this is a great deer but for me its the game that I enjoy anymore. I get my thrills on figuring out and taking a "Mature" animal. Rack size makes no difference to me. Not saying it doesn't make it more exciting though. Haha.
I also am after a huge old 6 pointer that I would be very happy with and if given the chance to shoot him I would do it in a heartbeat.
One of the mature does I killed this year had smelled me and blew on two different hunts. She was a wise old gal. I moved my stand to the spot where she would pace back and forth to wind check the field (and for me) before coming out of the thicket. That's the fun part!
Yep, I'd hold out for him too. That's a hoss right there. Be worth it even if you just get to see him and not get a shot just knowing he's there. Good luck buddy!
Charlie  :archer2:
That is one impressive buck. I really enjoy sits where I see a lot of deer despite if I harvest one or not. Just makes hunting that much more interesting!
What a bruiser! :scared:
You have the patience of a saint Thomas! Keep waiting him out, it will happen..
Nice pics Tom and good luck on the big one!
That picture makes him look like he has some broken tines on the right side now. Man is he sweeeeeet!
Jerry, he has broken off his right brow tine and his left side is bigger than the right.
