Today my buddy Kenny aka "Cobweb" went to the Fulton archery range to do some side by side testing of JD Berry's Vixen (The Amazon Lady) and the Northstar (The Amazon Queen)
My test pilot..."Cobweb"!!

Cobweb and "The Amazon Lady".

next, here's Ken and "The Amazon Queen"
(http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc158/mudd57/photo_zps59127edd.jpg) (http://s218.photobucket.com/user/mudd57/media/photo_zps59127edd.jpg.html)
When I asked Cobweb what his thoughts were he said.."it's kind of like the difference between kissing a homely redhead or blonde. They're just about the same if you close your eyes or put a bag over their heads."...lol
He also said he like the Northstar best because of how smooth it drew but said he shot the Vixen better.
I asked him if he knew why that was, he said it was because of the difference in the strings.
I told him the strings were identical... he disagreed..lol
I shot both of them and still am still partial to "The Amazon Queen"
Someone asked me if I had to pick one bow what would I pick.
My answer was every bowhunter needs a minimum of two bows. One as his "Go to bow" and another as his backup bow.
So my "Go to" would be the "Queen" and my backup would be the "Amazon Lady".
Thanks for looking
God bless,Mudd

roy maybe one of these days i can head up and we can have a day of shooting our berry collection. and im going to try and get some funds together for a northstar or a morning star. im sooooo torn lol
-
That would be awesome Shawn!!
Do you still have a passport and a pair of shoes so you can get out of state?
I want you to think back.. what did we both agree on when it came to that green bellied bow? "Smooth"?
Too darn bad that sucker was marked [email protected]
Please don't tell anyone else that I hate the number 45 almost as much as I hate building arrows...lol
Bring it bro... you know you're always welcome here... up to the point in time when I start charging you rent..lol
God bless,Mudd

"My answer was every bow hunter needs a minimum of two bows"
That's what I keep telling my wife.
They sure are nice bows Mudd. Which one do you prefer to hunt with?
-
Mudd!! Did you say Fulton? As in Fulton MO? I just put two and two together!?! My best friend lives outside Fulton!! Ha, one of these days when I come up to visit and hunt we'll have to meet up!
-
The next time I hit the woods(Sherwood) "The Amazon ????? will be firmly in my grasp.
It will be a special hunt as I will be wearing my "Robin Hood" hat.
Chuck, good deducting!!!...lol
Yes sir, I was speaking of Fulton Missouri.
Thanks for the kind words folks.
God bless,Mudd
PS: Maybe it's time to update my profile. When I register all those years ago I only identified my
location as mid-Missouri. Folks (me included) used to think vague answers would keep them safer....lol

I sure like the way those limbs bend. It looks like on the Vixen that the bottom limb is a little heavier and the Northstar looks almost like a perfect arc.

So my "Go to" would be the "Queen" and my backup would be the "Amazon Lady".
My friend, you are two-timing those beautiful ladies. I pity you when they find out what you are doing. I've already given the "Lady" my address so don't be surprised when she up and heads for Texas.

Well boys my hands were all over the both of those beautiful lady's and no matter how hard you try they will never forget that wonderful morning I held them in my hands at the morning coffee table at Jame's. I told the both of them that Mudd would treat you real good. It was sad to see them go as James was putting them in the box to be mailed off. I could see a tear running down that beautiful riser, so sad.

I serve them... and I do a good job at it if I do say so myself...lol
Now if I were to mention the name Danny I am sure they would respond with ..Danny who?
