Our gun season has been open since Sat. running continously till this Sunday evening. First two days are crazy and trails off during the week. Want to try a spot on the ground this Saturday, but I have to wear orange and everything around our little 30 arces is being pounded. Is it possible? I know the bucks are still rutting.
The deer won't see the orange or you unless you move while they are looking.
Course it is. It's gun season here, orange mandatory. I still bowhunt. I won't miss the rut no matter what.
Yup.

We have to wear it also. Well I guess I don't have to but I don't like being shot. Still a chance for that during any gun season, even with orange on.
I think it would be pretty cool accomplishment. I have yet to shoot an animal on the ground with my traditional equipment, and to do it when everyone around me is toting a rifle would be awesome. We'll see how it pans out. Thanks for imput.
My thirteen year old boy just missed a buck two days ago while wearing a full blaze orange coat and only 8 feet up in the treestand.
Darn sapplings got in his arrows path :(
anyways, the buck never knew he was there and we grunted him in so he was coming in and looking around.
If you wanna blend in a little better contrast wise they make the orange Realtree style or camo pattern vests or jackets
