This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
I shot this with my firefly longbow while sitting on the ground in my hammock seat on a deadfall. It was a 20 yard shot. Got him in the lungs and heart. He had little to no reaction. He just turned and trotted away. I was sure I missed. He ran over a ridge and laid down. I am hoping to make a quiver out of him.

:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: Thumperdunker on the forum might disagree, but coyotes with a bow are tough! I have killed a grand total of one with a stick and string. Congrats.
Very nice!
Great shot, congratulations! That would make a nice pelt,he's very healthy looking.
Good job! Great picture, I would love to do that.
Great Stuff !!
Pretty dog, I really like to see everyone get a shot at one. Around here they are mostly nocturnal. I have killed about a dozen. It's payback for all they have killed of mine.

very nice! the first yote i killed with my longbow i had a full body mount done. one of my fondest memories. 2 yotes came by i was 18 feet upa tree and they were 25 yards away and down hill so i was about 40 feet above them. perfect double loung shot and only ran 30 yards.
Congrats on a beautiful yote!

Me too. I really want to get one with a traditional bow. :archer:
Very Nice. I got one with a Hummingbird longbow about 10 years ago in WV. Also hunting from the ground. He was trotting right at me and turned broadside at 11 yards. Never thought he'd let me draw the bow but he did. Had his hide tanned. Turned out very nice.
I shot one two years ago with my Tip, 10 yards 18' up. She was following two little fawns I watches this coyote from 80 yards out follow the exact path the fawns and their momma did. You are right no sound no reaction it was creepy. Congratulations it is a great trophy.
