Come on Tristan! Let's hear the story.

First off thanks for all the kind comments on my previous post! Ok, so here is the story. This morning was cold, in the low 30's, and not a cloud in the sky. I knew it would be a good since we finally got a good cold snap and the first frost. I settled into my stand about a half hour before sun up and within an hour the deer began to show.
By eight I had seen eleven deer total but none inside of thirty yards. Not long after that I saw a pair of bucks, one nice six or maybe right and a spike, on the trail above me that most the other deer had taken early. It appeared they were going in the same direction and might have even been bedded there all morning. So, my first instinct was to grunt at them. The larger of the two bucks left immediately not wanting any of what I had to offer, while the spike continued to work his way along the trail. Thinking they had left I began a rattling sequence.
Not ten minutes later the little spike popped out of the brush in front of me at fifteen yards and began walking towards my stand. It seemed my technique worked a little too well as he walked to the base of my tree, I actually had to wait for him to work up the hill away from me before I could shoot! He had his head down most of the way feeding on acorns, we had a bumper crop this year and they are still dropping. I was set up on the inside corner of a field that sits forty yards below a ridge saddle, near two large oak trees.
Finally he made his way about five yards up and to my left. The shot angle was steep due to his being so close but he was a perfectly quartering away. I had been reminding myself all morning to pick a spot. In an instant I did just that and released. The shot was high striking him in the spine but I had connected and he dropped and rolled almost touching my tree. I immediately knocked another arrow and put it in his chest, ending him quickly.
I have only been hunting for four years, this being my third year with traditional equipment. This is my second deer with traditional equipment and first ever archery buck. Before I started taking photos and cleaning the little buck I thanked him for his life and I prayed to God thanking him for his blessing of provision and for an incredible morning in his creation.
I used my Stalker Stickbow Coyote 60" 44# @ 28" with Goldtip Traditional .500 and 150 grain Magnus Stinger four blade broadheads.
Hope y'all enjoyed my tale!
Thanks, Tristan

Thanks guys! BTW the rut really got off to a good start here and there were deer everywhere! I saw a buck chasing a doe through our nearest neighbors yard. In total I saw between 12-15 deer today and all of the bucks were either cruising for does or were chasing does.
