Hi everyone i have a recurve that i picked up 15 some yrs ago at a garage sale after i got bored with my wheeler. it is a shakespear wonderbow called the necadah 55" long 45#@28"draw serial#e512657 even though i have never hunted deer with this bow i have had great fun with it. My question is even though i am going to purchase a new bow next yr, the bow is starting to show its age in the finish would it be worth it to have it refinished or would the cost out way the value ?
Those where and still are very nice bows. Only you can judge weather its a worthy investment. I would suggest refinishing it yourself. Won't be a big investment to do it that way. Plus you will get the satifaction out of it

PS Lots of guys camo them up to hide the uglys. To each there own. :campfire:
It really is not a financial consideration-it is simply an emotional one. That particular bow is one of the best factory made hunting bows of the day, yet has little monetary value because the market wants vintage Bears and Widows.
Why not refinish it yourself in a wipe on poly or Tru-Oil?
Darn, even the hormoan types faster than me!
refinish yourself and shoot it.i have one and its a great shooter.
shakespeare necedah I have one that is 55lb and is a great bow still today I say refinish it and have fun with it
