I measured my hand around my knuckles and came up with 8 1/4" inches. According to three rivers this puts me right between a small and a medium. I'm a bit leery of getting a small, because although my hands are thin, they are quite long. Anyone have any input?
Jon
Hey John go with the medium for sure .. They don't have to be super snug in my opinion and that bit of extra room comes in handy if you want to wear some small gloves underneath !!
Sounds Good! Thanks.
Jon
+1!
I hate a loose glove. Won't buy one unless I can try it on first, because they can vary both in the way they are sewn and the way the leather stretches.
I buy a glove I can barely get on it's so tight--when it breaks in, it's just right. Loose gloves hang up on the string with me.
What glove are you looking at? I got an extra medium dura glove that ran a bit small with some taper to a couple fingers you could try.
I measure just a bit shy of 8 1/2" and that glove was way tight for a long time. Still is snug. I got a replacement that they went over and checked for size and it was just right for me.
I typically find standard gloves kind of snug in medium and a large tends to have to long of fingers but fit my hand okay.
When I buy a new glove, I soak it down with Montana Pitch Blend or a similar leather dressing. Speeds up the break-in and stretch time.
You can send or fax you hand trace to American Leathers and they will fit the hand print to the size you need. They are great people to buy from.
