I had been unable to shoot my Victory VAP 350s out of my 47#@28" slammer, because they were too stiff with 125 gr and 145 gr points and were slapping the riser and making a horrific noise. I just ordered some of the 190 gr single bevel Meathead broadheads from Vintage Archery, so I dug out my 200 gr field points and took them to The Archery Shop to shoot today. The VAPs with the 200 gr field points shoot very quietly and very accurately out of the Slammer! I can't wait to receive the broadheads!

I can attest that shooting the right arrow combo out of a Stewart Slammer is a sight to behold and a feeling second to none. Sounds like a happy ending with one of the best bows made and my personal favorite. Enjoy and good hunting Wild'!!!
MY slammer is the quietest bow I have ever owned one of the best made also Leon is a great guy and great bowyer
My Slammer is very quiet with the 507 gr of weight I get with the 29" VAP arrows, plus outsert plus 200 gr points. I'm waiting on a couple of frosts to kill off the chiggers and I'll be heading to the woods!

I took the VAP 350s along with my Cheyenne T/D recurve with Max 1 carbon/foam core limbs to The Archery Shop to shoot today. The VAPs shot great out of the Cheyenne with the 200 gr points up front.
Then I switched the 200 gr points to some new XX75 Camo Hunter arrows, 2213s, 30" BOP and they shot even better than the VAPs out of the Cheyenne. We're going to have 3 or 4 hard frosts this next week and I'll be heading to the woods the first time this year to deer hunt. I'm glad I won't have to share the woods with the CHIGGERS!!!! :)
