Good morning all,
I need a little help understanding matching wood arrow spine to my bow. I have tried a few different arrow spines for my bow. I cannot really see much different in the flight or accuracy of my wood arrows(first year shooting wood). I have noticed that the sight window strike plate seems to be wearing. Is this normal or should I be using this wear on the strike plate as a tuning guide. I assume that a higher weight spine would hit the strike plate harder do you think?
Thanks, Z
Tell us about the specs of your arrows and the point weight, along with the specs on your bow. If you are shooting too light or too heavy spined arrows they will slap the strike plate upon loosing the string. You want any arrow, made from any material, to not be overly influenced in it's flight by slapping the bow.
