I did, down at RMSGear, nice bows, couldn't really give it a full run down as it was a little too short of bow for my long draw. Sure seemed like a shooter though!

Not that I know of, shot his new one and that's only longbow of his I've shot. How far from RMSGear are you, they have a few in stock to shoot.

I'm a big fan of his original Spike. This is a bow I would consider getting.

I live down in Salida so not too far, trying to decide on a second set of limbs for the Spike 3 or the dual weight.

i am currently shooting a Spike III longbow.  62", 50 @ 28".  Green SA (Maple I believe)riser with Bamboo cores and stained Bamboo veneers.  Fast flight capable and shooting it with a D98,14 strand string.  I really like it!  So much so I ordered another with a Bubinga riser and a set ot 54# Bamboo limbs and a 52# of Osage limbs, both with Bamboo cores.

I ended up putting mine on the rack at RMSGear, I'm only selling it to fund a Chastain recurve.  How did you get turned on to that bow all the way over in Illinois?

You should buy my Chastain, it's less than five bills and it's an experienced killer;-)

I've picked it up more than once, have you seen the new stock they got from him recently?

After my Colorado Elk hunt last September I stopped by RMSG to check out the shop and shot some bows on the rack.  Walked out with a Wapiti recurve after shooting one.  There was a Spike III longbow there and I loved the grip but did not shoot it.  I own several Rampart longbows and really enjoy them so did not want to shoot the Spike since I already owned some Ramparts and my favorite longbow of all is my TD Black Canyon.

Curiosity got the best of me and I called Keith to chat about the Spike III and reluctantly ordered one from him.  Since receiving it this winter I have  been giving it a good tryout while my Black Canyon is waiting on some new limbs while my Ramparts are recovering from a successful deer season.

Something about those Colorado bowyers!

I haven't paid much attention lately, I'm liking my Dryads too much and I have a lot of bows already. I lowered my bow price to 495 I want to move it and buy some quivers, broadheads etc.
