Anyone hunting with a plains style quiver this year? If so, please post some pics of your setup if ya got 'em. I did a search. :) Here is mine that I just ordered last Friday and the gentleman that made it, finished and shipped it today. It will be here this coming Friday. I am excited to use it this late season with my Hill Red Hawk!

No one huh?
That's about the only style I don't have. I think I'm going to have to try one.

I wanted a no frills, able to hunt hard plains style quiver, and I believe this one is going to deliver. I am going to coat it real good with some Montana Pitch Blend to help water proof it for this late season.
Very nice! I wouldn't mind one of those myself.
It has a heavy duty reinforced back quiver style bottom for carrying broadheads.
i wish i could get used to one... just drawing a second arrow is lots of motion and talking with one quietly have held me back
I made one a few years ago. It carried the arrows well, but I had trouble getting arrows out of it. The heads seemed to drag on the leather the whole way out. I got into a shoot-out with a racoon and I had so much trouble getting the second arrow that I never used the thing again.
Very nice.
How do you keep the arrow from rattling and
what prevents the bh's from dulling?
Toby
GREAT looking quiver  Who made it???

If you put your arrows in so each occupies its own space...I can put 4 in like this with the big 200gr heads...they dont rattle...dont rattle the other way either but dont like them rubbing against eachother. I have some handmade head covers in leather that I put on them...when I pull the arrow out to hunt the cover stays in bottom of quiver as they are sewn flat...there is no dead space...it is like an envelope.
When I put arrows in careful to keep the heads flat so they lay same as the leather...
never had issue drawing or anything...great quiver. I did have to reinforce the bottom with another piece of latigo leather as when first started using it my scary sharp heads would sometimes get pushed through on accident..cutting leather parallel to grain until I got used to how to do it right. No problems...
Thanks Brock,
Good information. I don't like bow quivers, currently using an alpine Softlock that I just attached a step to. It works ok, but would like something nicer.

Brock is spot on with his statement! I had no problems pulling arrows out of my last one either and touching up the heads is no different than a back quiver.
Duker: This quiver was made my a gentleman in Canada and was really a great guy to deal with. Very good with communications. If you would like his info, PM me and I'll send it too you.
Nice looking quiver TW. Good luck during the late season.....time for things to come together for you!
I sure do hope so! Either way, I enjoy the hunt and the time alone in the great outdoors. The bucks will still be chasing the does so, hopefully one of them will blindly wander into my shooting range and present me a shot. :D
