I built this one for my freind and hunting buddy Wade Schwake (Stripstrike1). Did a little tweaking to the limb design from the last few I built. Kept blowing carbon skin limbs so I devised a cheap way to thin glass into super skinny veneers and put them over the carbon. Also went to paralell lams instead of tapers and shortened the wedges an inch on each limb trying to stiffen the tips without making the working limb too short causing stack and noise. The results were good. Bow is 62" 52#@28" adds exactly 3#/" of draw from 26-30 (4# @ 31" draw). With a finger release and 28" draw with a 12 strand TS-1+ padded loop string and beaver balls shoots a 520 grain arrow at 185fps (cant attest to accuracy of the chrony)it is also very quiet and shock free...I think I have settled on my longbow limb design. It poins well and hits were I look also. I realy hated to see it go when wade picked it up today, but it should guarantee me a place to bow hunt for years to come.. right wade?
Woods are Cocobola with a TX ebony flair (some sapwood) and northern copperhead skins.
What do yah think?

Thats Wade test firing it when he picked it up today. And the pick of it in the rack is with Wades other bows, a Morrison Shawnee Arapaho and an Adcock (A&H) ACS CX... Gulp! Hope his expectations arent too high.

Hey Bonner....just read the post and she is a very sweet shooting bow. It will be my go to bow this deer season. I shot it a little more before I went to bed last night and cannot wait till work is over so I can shoot her some more. All we need to do is add some of Stichooter's antler burrs to it and the beauty will be complete. Thank you very much and " PLEASE GOD MAKE THE HEAT GO AWAY SO THAT WE CAN START HUNTING."

That is a real nice looking combo...beautiful bow. I think it fits right in with the Morrison and the Adcock!!!

Thanks all. I just wish I had time to build one for myself. Mine, (the first one I built) kinda looks a little homely to me now. It is a little slower too. I have a couple special pieces of lumber picked out. But I got a few promised ahead of it. As for hunting in MO. I would love to but I couldnt get up there enough to make it work for me. If however, you have a place in TX and would like to trade some hunts for a bow i'm interested.
