Title: Habu Bushmaster braceheight?
Post by: mooshkat on October 23, 2013, 06:27:00 PM
What are you guys useing for braceheight on your Bushmasters, i picked up a used one and have gone from 8-8.5", and cant seem to get it quiet. I have a skinny string and wool silencers on it, still seems noisey, or is that just the way they are.

I run about 8.25 on mine...mine was built in 1999.  I run a set of catwhiskers about 9 inches from each end....on a D97 or 450+ string.  I shoot heavy doug fir arrows with 160 or 200 grain heads on them and 3 5inch shield fletching.

8.5 for me and I like to put a little Velcro on the upper limb at the start of the string grove.
