You might remember some of the stories posted here about our Nebraska turkey hunt this past spring at the Klintworth ranch. It was another great trip, and a bunch of turkeys no longer reside in Nebraska as a result.
There are both Rio's and Merriams on the ranch, and Tippit and I each wanted to do something different with one of our birds. We found a local taxidermist here in Wisconsin that does a turkey rug mount, and I picked them up yesterday. I think they came out really nice!

That is pretty cool I have never seen one of those.
That is pretty cool I have never seen one of those.
I like that a lot and I don't turkey hunt.
That is sweet! I need to look into that in the spring.
I've seen them displayed like that before but always hung the other direction without the beard.
I think I like this better.
bretto
Very nice. I have seen a rug before but not the way he does the beard and spurs. I like it.
Beautiful!
  very nice looking
Really nice and different approach to a fan mounting. Taking it to the next level.
That's slick!
I like that!
Very nice mount Whip, here is a variation I have.

I like it!
Beautiful, but I wouldn't turn the grand kids loose on it!!
That's kinda cool, Whip!
Congrats again on your bird!
Bisch
Fitting tribute to a hard earned trophy. First blind less bow bird. Congrats again. What a year you've had old boy.
Tell Arlo I said wuff.
That's really neat Joe.
I would like that better than a full mount. That looks nice.
Very nice Joe, I have seen them done this way before, but not as a rug. Like this much better.
Thank you for sharing
Wow, they are cool looking...can't wait to get mine. Well actually I can wait till you come back to SC to do a little pig hunting this winter. How would a pig skin look  tippit
That looks great Joe! I have a couple capes but never thought of the rug. I think the capes in a Rio or Merriam with the light color to contrast are the best looking.
Now those are different for sure! Very cool!!
oh man thats way cool :clapper:
That's pretty cool, I've never seen anything like it.
Ok, So I guess the first thing is to kill turkey
Looks real nice Joe. Really like it with the felt (?) backing. Never seen that before.
We have done that with our birds excpet we don't put a rug underneath them and we hang ours tail feathers down.
and its not too hard to skin them for that type of mount.
Nice.... I like that a lot, I have never seen that particular way of doing a Turkey fan before.
Those are beautiful guys! Gives me something to think about.
Tom
beautiful
I like both of them me too, something to consider for my next turkey quest.
Beautiful mount
Those are a really cool option for mounting turkeys! I dig the one that Pitbull posted too.
That's pretty cool; I like that!
I don't turkey hunt but after seeing that I think I need one on my wall too! :)
very cool!
Cool looking mount Whip! Congrates! I'm guessing that's a Rio gobbler?
