Title: Dillbilly Picture Frame
Post by: Art Oneshot on October 22, 2013, 03:50:00 PM
Kevin suggested I post this......

Kevin Dill and a close friend went on an Alaskan hunt a few years ago. They did well as you can see in the picture.  He commissioned me to do a commemorative picture frame in honor of the hunt and his friendship. The theme for the frame was obviously all about Alaska.

Over the years I've done many of these..it's always a pleasure to share someone else's hunt and help with the life long memories.

Enjoy (//%5Burl=http://s1198.photobucket.com/user/artvincent1/media/DillbillyPicturefram.jpg.html%5D%20%20%20%5Bimg%5Dhttp://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa446/artvincent1/DillbillyPicturefram.jpg) [/IMG]

Nice one, Art. Very well done.

Finding a suitable frame for a treasure like that can be a challenge. Double treasure!

For the guys out there who want a truly custom, one-of-a-kind leather piece...I urge them to consider something by Art Vincent. The picture frame wasn't cheap, but it is one of my most valued possessions. Art has done bow cases, arm-guards, quivers, and this frame for me. His talent is a rare one. How many other guys exist in the traditional archery/bowhunting world who can design...cut...tool...and stitch with such Art-istic results? The answer is darned few to none.

Awh shucks Kevin....But, thank you.  The real important thing is customers like you who come up with ideas that stretch me...I do appreicate the opportunities many have given me over the years.

Right now I am doing a full size carving of two bull elk fighting it out....noses in the ground down and dirty....on a piece of leather the size of a cow side.  It will definitely be a wall hanger.  Heck, I don't have a wall in my house big enough to hang it one....lol.
