I came home from work Friday, to find a package on my front porch from the Asbell's.
Hmmmm...I thought....I haven't ordered anything....
I opened it up to find this awesome bedroll/quilt that Teresa made from scraps of the Zipered Jackets and Pullovers. She lined it with the sherpa fleece she has been using. I must have sounded envious on the phone when she was describing the one she made for Fred :D
Teresa is such a generous person, this bedroll will follow me to camps for awhile. Thanks Teresa!!!!

Fred is the Ferrari but Teresa is the engine that drives it.
Way cool! What a nice gift.
Would not have expected anything less from Teresa. Good Folks!
I could wrap up in that nicely.......really nice!!
that sweet!!
wow....you should call her and suggest she begin making those as a regular offered item...
I'd buy one...anyone else?
That. . . . is nice. Also a very good way to use leftover scraps in her business.
Theresa went above and beyond on my pull over (special needs / request)and did a great job. I use it a lot.
ChuckC
My only problem with it is she must have sprayed it with beagle attractant. I used it in bed last night, and Daisy The Wonder Beagle HAD to lay on it. Not the other fluffy, comfortable quilts my wife has on the bed....no....THIS ONE. And she wouldn't move.
I don't know if she intends to sell these, and I hate to speak for her on this one. I'll find out.
How cool is this?....Way!!.... I'm saying!!
Teresa does such awesome work!!
Congratulations Roger!!
Stay warm my friend.
God bless,Mudd
Hey Sledge, you better bring it to Shrewhaven in a couple of weeks --just in case you end up in the doghouse. ;) :D
Great people those Asbell's. I love Teresa's wool and just ordered one of her sherpa vests last week.
Very Nice
wow that's nice and looks quite cozy for the upcoming long winter!
Very nice!
That is very cool! Teresa does a great job with everything she touches!

Put me down for one as well
Very nice!
And I also think that it would do well if Teresa offered it as a regular item.
That is super, you'll enjoy that for year to come!
There you go, now we'll all want one!
Looks mighty cozy.
Teresa just called me....she is flattered by all of the kind comments, emails, and phone calls. She got a call from a special bowhunting organization (I'm not going to say who, I don't want to steal anyones thunder)...and she is donating one of these quilts, embroidered with said organizations logo. Sounds like it will be auctioned off. Sweet!
Fantastic! That would make a nice early season camp bag. Maybe she ought to consider adding them to her line. I would like to have one.
Teresa is good folks. And she makes a great product.
Both the Asbell's are good people!
Not only is that cool, but I believe it will be VERY warm too.
Theresa and Chris from Two tracks put out some really nice gear. I just hate that I am allergic to wool!!
That is slick!!!! What a gift!
Thats Awesome! Your a lucky man Roger.
Man that is awesome. I would buy one of those.
That's a great gift ! Theresa is a sweet heart and makes some top quality wool gear, maybe if you get a wool vest for Daisy to sleep with she will let you keep your quilt.
My dog is cracking me up.....I am using the quilt right now on my lap while Lori and I watch TV. Daisy is crashed...out like a light....on MY quilt.
Dogs are the best judge of people...and quilts :bigsmyl:
That's awesome. I kind of want one too now.
I love it, that is a nice bed roll!
That's very nice indeed
That is fantastic looking quilt
:clapper:
Incredible Roger! That is a kingly gift indeed! As busy as she is I wonder how she could fashion those up for resale, that is a whole lot of sewing!
And when she says a little bit of luck is sewn into every one, I'm starting to believe it. Had on the timber ghost yesterday, on the ground with only a backdrop and was within 10 yards of a doe. But it's not doe season here.
Beyond Cool!!!
Roger, you are a lucky dog....or maybe it's Daisy that's the lucky dog... :D
I talked to Teresa yesterday and told her about this thread. I told her with a quiver in my voice that her and I have been friends for many many years and how much I loved plaid quilts. She laughed and said well maybe one of these will come your way some day. Anyway, I planted the seed....what more can I do.. :bigsmyl:
boy those sound real cosy and warm yup i could do with one also :goldtooth:
Just sat in the tree for 4 hours. temperature touched 39.....wool time for sure.
Now to sit on my couch eating mule deer sausage, wrapped in an Asbell quilt, and sipping a proper bourbon. :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Theresa,
If you are out there have we all told you lately How much we love you?
You are appreciated more then you will ever know.
I cann't wait to wear my pullover and haversack again this season but with 3 little girls my time out in the woods is very limited but when I do get out you can bet you are part of many hunts as many tradbowhunters wear a garment made by you...Your colors are colors of Autumn and that would be a fitting name for your bedroll I think...."Colors of Autumn"...
I love my Asbell wool. I believe Teresa is not only an excellent craftsman and a wonderful lady, she is pretty good at marketing her product. She has Fred Asbell, Roger Norris, and Ron Laclair singing her praises and modeling products. My only hope is she never develops a line of wool speedo swimsuits. :)
Perhaps Because She nice this special organization gets to auction off these fantastic blankets!
I'd like one too.

Don Thomas' editorial in TBM this month regarding 'models in advertising in main stream publications'was pretty interesting. More interesting is the ad from Kustom King featuring one of our annual camp pictures at Shrewhaven Lodge is on the opposing page. Many of us have wool on and I'm wearing one of Ron's green longhunter shirts that Theresa Asbell makes for him. No models in that group (except maybe young Eric in the middle), just an old grizzled group of traditional bow hunters who many of us have been going to that camp for over 20 years. All that being said, I don't want to see Ron, Roger or Fred modeling speedo anything.
Teresa made this deerskin breech clout for me a couple years ago,...well maybe a little more than a couple years.. . Some may remember when Terry featured this picture on PowWow back then. I also have a wool breech clout that she made for me but I don't have a picture of me wearing it....aren't you glad? :biglaugh:

What's that old saying, 'aren't you a sore for eye sight'. :readit:
:help:
WOW! Wish I didn't see that  I believe my memory will be permanently stained lol.
I'm sorry I started this. Please forgive me folks. ;)
Lord Ron......there isn't enough whiskey in the whole UP to unsee that.... :scared:
TMI Ron. T....M....I....
My eyes! My Virgin eyes!?!?!?
Whats'a matter, don't you guys ever watch National Geographic? :biglaugh:
Ron ,
So that's what "Depends" looked like years ago... :scared:
That's alot of Manskin Ron!
Love that bedroll. Theresa's going to get a call on that one.
jajaajaj
this is great laughing out load!!!!
