For those who use Ghilli suits from tree stands. When the foliage is gone(bare trees) do you still use your ghilli?
Might work. Mine is a bit long and bulky, I might have concerns moving around in the tree and not falling out.
They are really better suited for ground use.
My opinion.
Why not try hunting from the ground ? You can likely find more spots that don't have stand suitable trees nearby.

Tippit told me once that he got away with a little more movement in a tree stand when using a ghilli. He wanted to see the deer before they saw him move I believe.
I have tried the ghilli from a couple of stands and have not had a problem except snagging when climbing down. It is something to be careful of for sure .
I still use a ghille in a tree stand...but I prefer short coat & hat as my legs don't move. Hearing impared...it allows me a little more movement. I put my ghille on up in the tree over my harness. Then just drop it to the ground coming down...tippit
I love them on the ground. Don't see why they wouldn't work in a tree. I would find a tree set up with enough back ground to blend into. Ie. Pine tree. Part of their beauty is the bulk they add to break up your out line. Just don't let that become a negative in a bare tree. Ant yes I agree be mindful of safety... they snag everything and want to keep it... lol
Good luck
I've picked out other hunters with ghillie suits in trees from over 100yds away. If there is no back cover it sort of sticks out anyway. Deer may not notice, but it was pretty obvious to me.
