Does anybody ever paint pictures of animals, arrowheads, landscapes, etc on their European mounts ( not the camo skull dipping I saw on tv the other day)? Or hang feathers or beads off the skull/rack somehow? I have a couple of skulls I would like to possibly decorate , or should i just leave them finished as is ..any ideas or suggestions? Pics are much appreciated , thanks
I personally like the natural look on mine. That being said I have seen some cool photos of some nice painted scenes on a few deer, elk, bear, and buffalo skulls. G**gle it, a few should come up. Again IMO the natural look is best but try one out a see how you like it, you can always remove the paint if it doesn't turn out the way you want.

Although not a full skull, I made this one up and attached feathers and beadwork hanging from an antler.
And even though I prefer plain skulls, I have seen people paint stories through artwork of the hunt. Which is pretty damn cool.
Well you said it...

I like barnwood. I drill a hole in skull underneath and hang on nail in barnwood. Weight of skull holds in place.

Huge bobcat skull. Black bear claws, Mt Lion toe bone, Rattlesnake vertebrae, Porcupine teeth.
Kind of Dyak headhunter style.
