Well I finally found the perfect spot for a ground blind.Saw a nice buck on Thursday evening hunt, but he didn,t come down the trail. But this morning around 9.00am. Two spikehorns come trotting down.My blind is on top of a little nob. When the bucks get up to me they are close.Should have let the first one pass but got to excited and when I drew my bow he jumped to the side and I shot over his back.Have to learn to let them go by for a quartering away shot.Lesson learned the hard-way.......That's huntin................
Bummer! Good job on getting there though, next time you will know and hopefully won't miss!
Would it be ok to hunt that same blind again this evening or should I wait a day or two?????
Congrats on getting close, stay after them. I would let the spot rest a few days if you have another place to hunt. Good Luck!
Gets the heart pumpin don't it?
Sounds like a killer day to me, keep at it bud.
