My son, Kyle Pyeatt harvested his first traditional animal this evening. Shot was a double lung @ 16 yards, Black Widow PCHX, Cherokee Slim quiver, carbon xpress 150 with a stinger up front, complete pass through with a 30 yard recovery. He asked me to pray with him before we began trailing. Very proud of him. Mike

(Just a footnote added, Kyle let down on this deer once, he said he had time but didn't have the composure, so after he let down, he took a deep breath, reminded himself to pick a spot, drew, anchored, released. He has a maturity that I sometimes wish for)

Good shooting! I know when I was your age, my knees would shake so bad, the nuts on the tree stand would unscrew. Way to keep it together and make an awesome shot. Perhaps the prayin did some good.

Wow John Michael....I remember talking to you for the first time back in 2005, which put Kyle at 7 yrs old. Amazing how fast time goes by.

Cool to see him take a deer with a PCHX. I remember Kyle had one of the first of those made. He brought it to the weekly indoor shoot at our archery club and there was a long line of adults asking him to try it out! Looks like he's upgraded to a different one since then even.

Kyle told me that on the shot, he settled down, drew, then let down. He thought he was still too excited and he still had a little time. He took a deep breath, picked a spot, then shot. Wish I had that kid of composure a few different times!
