It is hard to say without anything to go by.
Big enough. (WAG) 400 on the hoof, maybe more ?
ChuckC
Long looking legs and a thin face , looks like a small bear . Might go 200lbs or might be a little more .
I would agree with chuckc - 400ish. Hard to say from just a pic but that is ballpark. Nice looking bear!
He's big! 300+ for sure maybe closer to 400 like the others said.
300 + agree - nice bear!

"Big Enough" ....
Nice bear...
700 lbs. :p
Does that make him big enough? lol Good luck earl! I know youve killed bears before so your guess would be way better than mine ;)
not 700 but I don't know lbs I know feet and inches that is a boar and he is probably pushing 6'7 to even 7 foot depending on the time of year he could weigh 300 or 500
Froggy said it right Charlie big enough. Thanks
look and the big butt, sloped head, long but thickly taperd neck small ears short legs. toad
I think the most reliable way to tell the size of a bear is the distance between the ears and ear size in relation to head size...without being able to see either it is tricky to judge...I do think that bear is worth taking a further look at
DDave
He wouldn't look as big after an arrow removed the air from his lungs......lol
And, I wouldn't even hesitate!
Depends on how close you are to him.
4-5 yards away and he'll be plenty big!
311 pounds.
I would say around 400. Not a pa monster. But big enough to be worried about walking in the dark lol or to be packing heat
375#
Get a pic of you standing next to the tree he's standing by, this will show size in relation to u
He's still big enough!
Thanks for the pics
I'd shoot him.
a shooter for sure
shoot him so we can stop guessing ... :archer2:
I think 200 to 250. Boutht the only thing to go on is ears relative to head. In two pics the ears look really small and make him look big but in the other one his ear size shows up. Really hard to tell IMO. Bears seem to shrink more on the ground than other big game! ;)
Big enough to eat 1 bite at a time! lol
Graps I think has it nailed.
Wrists and forearms are big, but they aren't huge. The long face and ear size makes me think its around 250#. Depending on location it might be a shooter.
Cool picture of it against the tree.
Lots of guesses here that seem WAY too heavy to me....I dont think this bear is that big. I say GRAPS guess is on the mark with 200-ish. The black and white night time photo is also making the bear look bigger than it actually is.
would someone shoot that dang thing so we all know. . . !
ChuckC
Big butt+ small ears= big enough for me. But I have never really hunted bears.
It's a shooter.
Big enough to ride in my truck.
I have pic of this bear in the same spot last year do you think its the same bear.

Wait... Are those fully mature stalks?!! If so that looks like a bruiser. That's hammer bear there. I don't think it's same one no
Yea those corn stalks are mature. Pic's were taken in October.
I'm thinkin that is short "feed plot" corn. Not seeing a really huge bear there either.
I think the best way to tell would be to see if you can get in the picture with him. Maybe put your arm around him so that we can have a good frame of reference.

Ha ha did a guy do that in Alaska and ended up seeing a brown bear from the inside.
Earl, The second Pictures must be from a Teddy Bear. He sure looks cuddly.
Now bring him home in the back of your truck. :archer2:
Headin your way for a little Turkey hunting this weekend Charlie. Bear archery season is the 3rd week of November in pa.
Good Luck this weekend Earl. I forget exactly where you like to hunt in NY but if you need help Dragging Turkeys, let me know.
BTW, bear season is open here ;)
Bib bears have belly's like in the first pictures. I wouldn't even hesitate-that is a good, mature male. Not a 600+ giant but more than 250# for sure.
The above two pictures are of two different bear-the second picture could very well be the same one as in this years pictures.
I think all the pics could be the same bear not sure but could be. the second ones look pretty big. the one pic makes the ears look big but all other indicators on the body say large.6 foot 7 I bet
Gotta agree...likely the same mature bear and should square close to seven feet...crease in the forehead...wide spaced, smallish looking ears
