Bigfooted bunny that is! First snowshoe rabbit for me, shot at one year's ago with my first compound and missed at close range, nailed this one at twenty yards with my longbow. We see a lot of these during elk season, but the small game season isn't open yet then. We have been up a few times looking for them, but they were not to be found till today, then right after I got him, it became practically a white out and I had to get off the mountain.
Congrats!
stew tonight? ;)

Maybe tomorrow, on the rail with stew or frying it. One rabbit makes a pretty small pot of stew lol! But I've always wanted to try rabbit stew. This is the first wild rabbit I've eaten in probably over thirty five years.
I've got a Paul Prudhomme recipe for bunny jambalaya. Mmmmm good!
I've got one invite to eradicate bunnies for someone this year.

Congrats, It snowed out but you ate well!
The traditional way has a tendency to exponentially increase the enjoyment of the smallest harvest.
