I shot a doe this morning and saved some of the blood for some video demonstrations i have planned.
Here is a video that show how amazing peroxide is for tough bloodtrails.
it works great in grasses, swamps, crp, after a rain, etc.

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video I will be putting a spray bottle of peroxide in my truck
Cool. Could've used that last week.
LB hunter, great video, great site, thanks for some good info.
I have done that before , it works surprisingly well .
I have used this too. Works good.
Great tip, thanks.
I have a color blind buddy who uses it all the time. He can't see the blood at all. Says it just looks wet. Adapt and overcome.
Dave
great tip! thanks for the video man!
Thanks for the video I heard of people using peroxide but never tried it. I heard some people add yellow food coloring to the peroxide so it foams up bright yellow.. I liked your demonstration. I'm definitely going to add that to my arsenal :clapper:
Interesting. Might have to try that. Thanks for the tip.
I will certainly try this. I am color blind to a point and can't pick up blood very well in leaves.
Thanks for the tip!
I heard of using it too but didn't realize that it worked so well.
one thing to note: you might want to keep it in a dark-colored, opaque container like it comes in. hydrogen peroxide reacts with light and degrades, losing its effectiveness and "bubble power" fairly quickly.
Man what a great reminder and good timing. I knew about this, but with 1000 other details to tend to, I forgot. Hunting all weekend, and will do this today!
Thanks for the excellent video!
Good stuff Jason. Tell me you're going to go back tonight and do a flashlight trailing comparison???
TJ
Jason,
Don't youu have to keep peroxide in a dark bottle? I thought light released the light bond between the 2nd O molecule?
I wonder if I can find a sprayer cap that would screw right on the peroxide bottle? That'd work, huh?
I sent that link to a friend who is color blind... he can't see red on a field of green for NOTHING...unless it's wet and shines...then "maybe!" Cheaper than those "solutions" being marketed by some enterprising soul(s).
Tj, I actually did make a video showing the difference between cool white and neutral white. I didn't post it here out of respect for you. You have a great thread going and have done so much research, then you saidin that post yyou were going to do a comparison as soon as you got a deer. I didn't want to step on your toes so I didn't post it.
Doc,
I have not kept it in a colored bottle. It stays in my truck under the seat out of the light.
I didn't know it needed a dark bottle until everyone said it should be. I have not had any problems in a clear. Bottle in all the years I have been doing it but will use a colored bottle next time I'm at a store.
Awesome video, will be putting some in my pack.
Thanks Tom

X2
You may even rap the bottle with ele tape if you cant find a dark spray bottle you just need to keep the light out.
N B: Please be careful transporting Hydrogen Peroxide in your vehicle, if it spills it will beach your carpeting! :nono: Works fine on a difficult blood trail.
