Title: Blind material
Post by: Pine on October 10, 2013, 05:29:00 PM
Don't know if this is original or not but I had an Idea today to make a deer blind out of the weed barrier cloth that is used under landscaping rocks . It is cheep , doesn't tear easily , dark charcoal colored , not noisy and you can easily cut shooting holes with a pocket knife . I think it will last all season because it is designed to be wet and in contact with dirt .
Thought I would shair this idea with the Trad Gang .

Not a bad Idea Graps, I for one am always looking for inexpensive alternatives. Let us know how it works and any improvements you are able to come up with.

Nice job. Mine is made of burlap. Poles are 3/8 rebar. Cheap and easy.

It will last one yr, its not UV stable, and the sun will eat it.  Yet at the low cost it should not make any diff.   still is a good idea.

Since iits not UV stable could always cover the outside with natural materials as well should help keep some sun off of it.

Great way to keep the inside of the blind really dark and hide what movement you may make. Thanks for sharing.
