Great Job!!!!
Wow, you have them stacked up like cord wood.
Ok let me start by saying I just bought my first house about 8 months ago, and have been busy getting everything here the way I want it so i haven't hunted it much. I have about 6 acres, 4 of which are wooded.
The first doe was in the beginning of the week at the farm i normally hunt and was a 10 yd shot, ha and you can see the recovery.
The second one was the first time Ive ever hunted on my land and was the first deer I saw that night. I told myself because I haven't hunted it I would shoot the first deer I saw just to be able to say I killed it on my land, that would feel good you know. Well around 5 she came in stage left and im set up about 15 yds off a hard path. Well as she came she angle up towards me and off the path which would put her at about 8 yds for the shot. I hit her right in the pocket and she bolted straight down my hill towards the road. I heard her hooves hit the pavement, then couldn't hear anything else, I thought she crossed the road and kept going. Well that picture is the end of 60 yd trail that put her right in the road.
The little 6 was on a totally new property to me that i've been hunting for the past two weeks and have been seeing ALOT of activity at and ALOT of bucks. I passed on a 6 last week that I found out after he walked out of range had two main beams on one side. He wasn't big, but i'm not after big I like wierd looking racks and just hunting as much as I can. This one came in the other night right after i missed a nice sized 7 pt who was much bigger then this guy. Once he came into 18 yds or so I decided i wasn't going to pass and then find out it was that same 6 i had saw before, because once he got close it was pretty dark. I hit him about two inched higher then i was looking but still ended up with a double lung. The only bad note is I never found my arrow but Oh well thats how it goes. Anyway I'm a terrible story teller so I hope you liked listening, thanks.
Nice story with great results!
Good story. I see you were using a Bear RazorHead. Those are very good heads despite what some folks claim. Congratulations on the good hunts.
Wow!!
Outstanding! Congrats!
Way to go!
You are stacking them up.
Congrats,
Bisch
I like the old razor heads this is the first yr I've used the bleeders with them and they do produce results.
whack em and stack em!!
