i had another one break while at almost full draw. this makes about seven to break in about 5 months. anyone else have this problem? i am only shooting a 46 lb longbow. and i do not use gold tip nocks any more
I use signature nocks,, Haven't had any problems
a couple of months ago the forums lit up with problems with GT nocks. I believe GT replaced them w/o question. They will replace your nocks I thinnk
I never cared for them, had similar issues in the past but thankfully nothing catastrophic. I still use good tip shafts but Easton 3D Supernocks get installed as soon as they get to the house!
WOW, you must have a bad batch. I know I shouldn't say this but never had one break. BILL
Let me guess they are white?
I've had a couple break. Never used the white ones. I'm with agtex42 I'll shoot Gt,but,Easton Supernocks or Bohning Signatures for me. :nono:
I thought it was the red or orange that had the issues. Had to be three years ago this batch was made. Contact GT and they will tell you
I use white ones - never had a problem
After hearing about al the trouble with them,I don't use them.I prefer Easton 3D Super nocks is my preferred nock for arrows with the .246 ID which is most all 5/16" carbon and aluminum with a uni-bushing.I had a buddy send a bunch back for replacement ones from GT and had a few break of the new ones he received.I just don't want to take the chance of a possible dry fire.
I've had 4 or so break in as many years.
yes tj white
i started using them two years ago and I have only ever managed to break them by shooting arrows against hard surfaces and having them slap against the ground or a tree or something. never had one go during the draw or loose, on upto 75#.
having said all that I buy bohninng signature because they cost about 1/4 and i think they look nicer and they function the same
absolutely no more gold tip nocks for me
Had an older GT nock break on me at full draw earlier this year. Scared the crap out of me! I think the new ones are better tho.
