My blind is about 200 miles from me at the moment.
Can I shoot my 64" recurve from my double bull dark horse blind (not the recurve model)?????
Yes I shoot my 64" recurves from them on my knees. I back up to the back wall so that my bow is near the center of the blind when I shoot. I would rather have day pack or other items in front of me than have stuff behind my legs when shooting from the DB. I'm 6'1" tall.
in my double bull....360Matrix....I shoot 64 and 66" bows. I put backpack and gear to front of me and to right of me...put my stool in rear against back of blind slightly to left rear...so when I cant bow the bottom and top limbs are free during draw and release...and arrow alignment is not near a main strap or pole.
Just get inside and move around and practice drawing in yard in different positions...get your confidence there and then can take to field.
I've done fine with a 66" longbow out of the 360's and fit fine in the dh though haven't shot out of the dh yet. The slide window is the part I like the most and set up for a shot out of it whenever possible. I have yet to get in a recurve model matrix or dh.
As long as bow is canted should be no problem, my 62" recurve and longbow clear easily.
Thank you all. I shot it out of the blind early this summer through the window port. No problems. When I set it up about a month ago, I set it up to shoot from the window that slides. Canting my bow to near horizontal will allow me to shoot. I agree with all the above about sitting near the rear of the blind with gear in front. Thanks.
