Title: Another Widow Question...
Post by: doeboy on October 08, 2013, 01:53:00 PM
hey guys,

Im in the process of replacing my strike plate and rest on my PSAX Widow. I removed the old one last night making sure to mark the original locations of the bump in the strike plate. Questions is: How do I remove the old left over adhesive befroe installing the new strike plate/rest? I want to be careful not to use something harmfull to the finish. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Bill

the finish on a widow is as bullet proof as you can get.. ive used brake cleaner to get stuff off my PSA with no affects...    :)

I use WD 40 on mine then clean that off with warm soapy water.  Like Dave said, they are pretty tuff

Goo gone or something like that. It's sold with the household cleaners.
