Went out past morning and found a tree I had been sitting against for a few years had died as well as some others around it. I don't like to sit against dead trees because I don't need any big limbs, or the tree coming down on me. So, I had to fuss around and find a new spot. Picked this one tucked back closer to the hill side. Didn't sit long because of the warm weather. Will see how it goes in a few days.

LOOK! Someone left thier boots in the woods? :biglaugh:
Ya blend right in there, brother!!!!! Is that jacket an old Realtree, or a Mossyoak "Treestand" ???
I think your new seat is perfect. I wish I had a stand site so perfect. Mine are almost all in a marsh and it is so thick and tight that during early season you cab't even SEE 15 yards, much less shoot that far.
Good luck and shoot straight

I think you look good sitting there...
Looks good Jerry, Nate and I have been out a couple of times but have failed to connect. Good Luck with your season.
Great spot! Love seeing photos of ground hunters in their habitat. :)
Holy Cow Jerry!!!...those pics look just like a finger ridge I hunt in Cohutta. Nice looking spot your in...believe me I know, chased a few bears and hogs there!!!
It happens; have a tree on the back of my place I've used for several years. It's declining so I figured it would be best to climb a different one; really liked that tree and you get used to the spot - kind of a bummer isn't it.
