When "Creating" the Latest Work of Archery ArrowSlingin' Art, does anyone have a Preference or a "Tip" on which Antler Tip to Use for the Bow Ends? :goldtooth:
I like Axis deer tips. Have also used water buffalo
I like elk
Fallow deer is pretty easy to work with, it's kind of oval shaped so you don't have to do much preperation work. Other than appearance though, I don't think there is much difference in one from the other.
Thanks For the Info Folks! :archer:
Shakes, I bet whatever you got, or can get will work just fine. I'd love to see some of pics of your latest work.
I've heard it said that whitetail antlers tend to dry out faster than most. Moose antler seems to be a better choice.
There is an Elk Farm "Down the Road a Piece" from me, Keatons I believe is the Name. I will give them a Shot, or a "Look-See" anyway! :archer:
Thanks ALL Again!!
BamBooBender: I am a Little bit away from Picture taking Progress! Matter of fact, it hasnt started yet! I am getting all the Goodies in Line though! And will Definitely Post a Pic, even if it should go POP!! :goldtooth:
Elk antler is soft, so it will show wear faster.
On the other end of the spectrum moose is the hardest.
Cool, Thank You ALL for the Input!! :readit: I Appreciate it!! :archer:
