I just received my Super Static from Dan. I asked him for something black and yellow kind of like a wasp theme and boy did he outdo himself!
The bow is super smooth and absolutely no hand shock. I've only put a couple dozen arrows through her so far and am very impressed by Dan's work.
I'm planning on attending the Stick Bow Classic held by Maya Archers on November 3rd in Roseville so if anyone in the area is going and want to test a SS, let me know and we can meet.
BTW, I'm assuming I can leave this bow strung? I sent an email to Dan but haven't heard anything but I'm pretty sure I can leave this recurve strung.

Cool looking bow. Do you have any pics of the profile?
Sure I can take some. I'll post it in a couple of minutes.
Sweet ! A beauty for sure, and tip pics ?

What are the woods?..
best looking SS yet.
That is a beauty, congrats on the new bow.
Kevin
You will need to unstring it when the string wears out

Here's what Dan said, "Bill ebony riser, dark gold quilted myrtle limbs, overlays ebony and gold mora , with real thin black accents, black and gold tips Dan"
Whats mora? Whatever it is , it looks good.
Outstanding!
That's a fine looking bow! I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks.
Absolutely stunning! I really like the look of this bow.
Mora is sometimes called Argentine osage. Man that's a looker! I really need to try an SS.
Congrats, that is definitely a beauty!! :clapper:
Thanks for the kind words. Dan does an amazing job. She's not just a looker but I would rate this bow as equal in feel to a Border bow I had.
That is gorgeous black myrtle,. It looks like its on fire. Nice bow and I have heard nothing but great things about the builder.
God bless, Steve
That is really sharp! I had the good fortune to shoot about half a 3D round with an SS Classic this summer and I was very impressed. Very comfortable to shoot, quiet and really quick for its draw weight. A really outstanding bow.
I tend to like a shorter bow in a recurve, and this SS convinced me to keep my eyes open for a Toelke Chinook. A 50 pounder showed up at my house on Monday. It looks very similar to Sacto's and is a real shooter, too.
Fletcher,
Pictures or it didn't happen. ;)
I really like the lines and look of this bow, it's beautiful!
Looks awesome!
Steve,
It does look like its on fire. The flames continue all the up to the tips on both sides of the limbs.
Of course if only I could shoot as well as it looks. LOL
That sure is a great looking bow! Always been a fan of the myrtles. What are the stats on that master piece?
It's 45@26. 64 inches. I asked Dan if my draw length was too short for a 64 inch bow and he didn't feel it would greatly affect performance.
wow. by pictures, my new favorite bow. everything about this thing calls to me. I'll be given them a call!
how heavy a bow will he build? I suppose I'll ask him. :-)
That is a gorgeous bow! Congrats! It won't be a problem to keep it strung. When you are looking for a good stringer for a static tip, I can highly recommend the Thunderhorn stringer.
I use it for my RER static tip, but also for my other bows. It works like breeze, with minimal chance on limb twist.
Just adjust the cord to your proper length ( you only have to do this once), and you're good to go!
Beautiful bow! Love that strung profile. What a looker!
Your wasp theme turned out perfectly, that's a real looker. I really like that profile picture too.

Really like the wasp theme look!
