Title: New Bear Bow Finish
Post by: LV2HUNT on October 02, 2013, 07:18:00 PM
I have one of the new Bear Super Grizzlies which is in really good condition. Problem is that in rode my bike in to hunt one day with it and it rubbed on something and kind of wore down the finish a little bit in two spots on the riser grip. They are small spots less than a 1/4 wide and long.

I am wondering if there is some type of readily available material that I could touch the spots up and then maybe blend them in with steel wool or something?

Feather the damaged area with some 600 grit sandpaper until smooth then lightly coat with tru oil for a few coats over several days.  Buff with rouge or rubbing compound.  I use the headlight restoring compound just because I have some and it works fine.
