Too much positive data to ignore the benefits of a well made single bevel. Really interested in Bill's product. Anything like his Zipper bows is destined to be great. Any feedback on Zipper's offerings?
She didn't think much of them, but I am very pleased and impressed. 200 gr Kodiak, made it from the last rib thru liver and lung to the opposite shoulder; she made it maybe 60 yds. Good steel, mounted and sharpened well, held its edge and seems to be very tough. :archer:

I know you can get them just CRAZY sharp without too much effort. Hope to put one to the blood test next week.

I've got them mounted up and ready to test this next week too. Hope I can be as skillful as Fletcher.

Awesome bow JimB!
Does anyone just use a file to sharpen these single bevels heads? I get my double bevel stos very sharp with a file but haven't tried these because I'm don't really want to buy a bunch of sharpening tools to get them sharp.
Paper wheels. Less than 30 seconds to razor scary sharp.
just got some 185gr grizzlys. i have to say they look like a much improved head over the old ones. can't wait to put them through some billy goats in a couple of weeks.
Will try them out on moose in 2 weeks.
I have some 185's and yes I use just a file to make the edge and then a strop to finish, cardboard will work for this.
Single bevels are not hard to sharpen. I think they are easier.
Run the file on the bevel side and then lay the "non-bevel" side on the file very lightly and remove the burr. Use progressively lighter strokes and repeat the process with the strop. Done!
I popped hair in about 60 seconds with my file and strop. create a burr, then remove it.
Bill is doing a fantastic job with these heads.
field testing begins Tuesday. :campfire:
