Had the honor of meeting Byron Ferguson this last Saturday in Kalamazoo Mi. . He talked with me for over a half hour . I bought one of his new Safari long bows in 60# and when I got home to try it out I was amazed . That bow was tuned and shooting very well in just a few minutes . It has become my favorite bow in my collection beating out my Bear TD 60# . :goldtooth:
I have always been a recurve shooter but I will now be a Long Bow shooter .
Awesome!!! Longbows forever! Glad to hear things like this.
The bow is not a beauty but not bad looking either . But like Byron told me " You can set around deer camp talking about your beautiful recurve or you can be eating venison ."
How can you argue with that ?
How sweet it is....JG
That's amazing. I have been a fan of Byron Ferguson since I met him when I was 8. I would love to get to meet him again and most definelty jump at the opportunity to purchase a bow directly from him.
I would love to see pics of your new bow
Your life is over as you knew it! Long bows are addictive...
Awesome! You will love shooting a longbow.

Well I tried to put pics on but I am to ignorant I guess .
I see that there is a Royal Safari that is signed by Ferguson and a standard. I wonder what the differences are besides the price and signature, I could not find a detailed discription on the pricey one. Pretty sure that if Byron says the Safari a better hunting bow, it is.
Byron is the best. He makes the lb do his job just about as perfect as anyone ever has.
I have tried a few sites to load pics and have had no luck at all . I have tried at home and at work . So I have no clue how to get pics on here . None of the helps on this site work either . So I guess that I wont be able to share with other members , only stories . The only thing I figure is that there is some sort of soft ware discrepancy .
The pics need to be uploaded to photobucket then the IMG link copied and pasted in the reply box.
You can email them to me at brianlocal3@yahoo.com and ill post them for you

Thought I would share the end of the day Saturday with you . I was shooting towards the last couple of hours of sun light . The Safari liked my 2317 aluminium arrows and that is what I have set up for my Bear TD . It all of a sudden occurred to me that the early antlerless season was open and I was feeling lucky with my new bow so I went back in the house and grabbed one of my broad heads and slowly still hunted my property . After about an hour and the last few minutes of light I was near one of my sheds . Heard a faint crunch on the other side of the shed . I stepped around the corner very slowly , looking intently , another step and I caught some movement about four feet in front of me on the ground . It was mostly black with a little white V behind its head and a white tip on its tail . I froze and to myself in my head I said SKUNK OH CRAP !
I decided if he wasn't going to shoot I wouldn't either . I very slowly back stepped around the corner of the shed and out of range and no harm no foul . So I feel very blessed with my new bow and feel that it will be good for hunting if it will bring me that kind of luck .
Just thought you might get a little laugh at my experience of my first hunt with my new bow .
:scared:
Great story!!! Sounds like the bow came pre-installed with mojo
LOL... Funny how a little ole skunk can send a well armed human into full retreat! I've been there myself. Your bow is beautiful... I really like the B/W contrast. Good luck with it this year.
