Yup. I know you only need one bow, but having more than one and having 'em all be different is one of the things that makes these bows so much more fun than compounds. (My wife swears her hoyt and matthews are different, but I'm not sure I buy that)
Anyway, give me something to drool over: post a pic of what's in your bow rack.
This thread is inspired by VABowBender's response in the things you don't need to buy thread, btw...
I've only got one I currently use for hunting. It's an Assenheimer recurve I had made back in 1991. I also have my first hunting bow circa 1979 or so, it's a Bear Grizzly. (Can't post pics at the moment)
I'd like to get a longbow to hunt with and am looking at and into a number of them including TurkeyCreek and The Toelke Whip to name a couple.

Can't give you an exact list but each rack has 38 pegs (19 per side, double sided). Quite a few of the pegs have 2 bows on them, and there are 25 bows hanging on the walls. Somewhere around 120 bows give or take.
Mickey - there is absolutely no excuse for that many bows, and I am ashamed of you ....... So, send one rack, intact, to me as quickly as possible - to save your good reputation :goldtooth:
It's kinda like I always say - "There is no bad reason to buy (make, get) another bow!"
I've got about a dozen, plus a couple up for sale, and one in the making (with plans for many more of those, the good Lord willing).
Some of them:

*Mississippi Lake Longbow-made by Jim this year
*Lofton Choctaw Chief-from Rob B during St Jude's Auction
*Blackwidow PLII-traded my last Recurve for it
*Would have had a Bear Tigercat, but the person who listed it for the St Jude's Auction chose not to send it
Jim's bow will do the lion's share of the work this season.
I think i have about 30-40 bows, nearly all of them look just like staves though, you have to look real hard to see the bow. Really though i have an old Bear Grizzly that i bought from george nagel, as well as a long bow that george made and gave me when i bought the grizzly. and i have a recurve that i watched george and chad holm make, and then ended up buying. I also have a hickory pyrimid bow that is almost finished. and thats it.
Forgot to post my own list!

Voodoo kustom elk bow (in the makeings )
People who know me...know I always seem to have an extra bow on the rack in case my huntin' bow goes down or someone is in need. So no need to make a list. Instead here's my latest one for the rack. Proposed to be a bear bow next spring along with a Woody knapped point...hint hint :bigsmyl: If it can make meat, I've been thinking of letting it travel around for some other Tradgangers to hunt it.
Just a thought since most of you know about the guy who makes these and you know it's like collectin' Hen's Teeth to actually get to handle one. Let alone hunt with one  Doc

Doc you're going to let a Firestyx with a Stevenson, Casey and Fetrow connection travel? Are you nuts?
Well, this is embarassing! I only have one bow to report, but she is a beauty! Rose Oak Puma Hunter 53@28. I am new to trad hunting so not many to list, but, I think this is a very good start.

I just have the one Acadian Classic 61#@28. Leon
Mickey, LOL Looks like Doc's been on the Horse pills again :knothead:
I have about 25 bows, Bears, Martins, Ben Pearsons, Damon Howatts, Morrison, Marriah, Habu, Black Widow, Palmer and two self bows. I have my dads longbow that he bought in the late 40's. The Habu VyperKahn is my current favorite. Jim.

Mickey, I know it hasn't drawn any blood yet! So if it can help me tag a bear...why not. I would think all those guys who are listed on that bow would agree ;)

Doc I meant THAT part. I think YOU should hunt with it, but man shipping it all over the country relying on others to treat it/pack it properly not to mention UPS /USPS
Wow, you guys make me feel inadequate! I shoot a Wes Wallace LB 54# @28" and my 5y/o son shoots a 9# Rhino longbow:)

Can't give you an exact list but each rack has 38 pegs (19 per side, double sided). Quite a few of the pegs have 2 bows on them, and there are 25 bows hanging on the walls. Somewhere around 120 bows give or take.
Mickey,
I don't feel so bad with the 3 or 4 bows I have on hand, or the 70, or so, I've bought and traded over the past 7+ years. But then again I'm sure you've built most of your bows! ;) :biglaugh:
Bill
Actually Bill there's probably only a dozen or so there that I've built. I've given or traded most of mine away. I do have quite a few Bears and Pearsons, some odds and ends wood and glass bows, about 4 that were made by my dad, several that were made by my Bro Randy and a bunch built by my selfbow making friends like Tim Ott, George Nagel(2), Mike Westvang, Doug Rutter(2),John Scifres, David Mims (2), JD Jones, Dano Grens, Jason Westbrock, Shawn Webb, Lenny Rosenkranz, Gregg Coffee, Tim Baker, Joe Mattingly, Rusty Craine, Bob Barnes, Tim Hamblin, Don Haingray, Terry James, and one well known mystery bowyer.
There are a stack of selfbow guys I'd still like to get bows from too (got a couple lined up right now).I'm not done collecting yet

I asked a friend of mine who is a bowyer, and a very religious man, if he thought there would be bows in heaven. He assured me that there would be. I was very happy to hear that.
