Is there a chance of the ILF limb bolts loosening from vibration during shooting? If so what do you do to prevent it once you have set your bow up and tuned it?
Once you have your bow tuned what do you do to ensure the limb bolts are tightened to the same spot after taking the bow down? Do you mark the bolts in some way?
I am new to ILF but picked a very inexpensive set up to try.

All of the risers I'm familiar with, except Warfed risers, have set screws to lock the limb bolts in place.
That said, even with the Warfed risers I've owned, I never had a problem with the limb bolt moving when strung or shot. Once tuned you could put some type of indexing Mark on the head of the bolt just for a visual confirmation that nothing has moved.
I have a Hoyt Excel riser and Dryad Epic limbs on the way. I will check that out when it arrives.

Your Excel riser will have a set screw that goes in from the belly side of the riser to lock down the limb bolt once you have preload and tiller set.
I think you will enjoy the Excel/Epic combo.
My Morrison riser has set screws, and on my wharf riser limb bolts I put on some plumbers threadseal tape, they stay in pretty firm, and you can still move them.

If I told you how I was going to set up this combo, I would be drummed off of all of the traditional sites. It should be fun though.

Gil, all the bell and whisles on the ILF???
I'm pulling the Siberian to 29.75", so about 59#, and feels a lot lighter. Very happy with it. Havent put it through the chrono yet, but it seems pretty quick and smooth.
I noticed (on another thread) that you sold the El Lobo. And what's the story with the ILF, I thought that you was going down to 1 bow :biglaugh:

Good thing they didn't have any in stock yesterday or else there wouldn't be no maybe in that one!
Oh and maybe one set of Dryad ACS RC ILF foam core limbs too.
Gil, I have a Morrison wood/phenolic riser and a Black Bear warf riser without set screws and neither bolts move or work themselves out. There is enough friction on them to keep them put. And to take the limbs out just pull them out and then push them back on so no fiddling with the screws required. Of course I always check my brace height and tiller measurements when remounting limbs which is almost never.
So you're getting into ILF. Sorry about that. It can be expensive.
My limb bolts on my Morrison metal risers don't move and I don't bother with set screws. If I'm not sure about the setting, all I do is bottom my limb bolts and then back them off to my pre-set location. On the metal Morrison I can do that even while strung. Mine don't have all the bells & whistles but they do have red Sniper Hog lights attached in the upper side quiver insert...tippit
Well I have two 21" Excel risers on the way and a set of medium Dryad Epic limbs. I have my eye on a set of Morrison foam limbs, but they are lite on this length riser.
For those that shot both the Border HEX 5 and Border HEX 6 which would you prefer? I think that is my next move, if I can make sure this ILF set up is quiet.
I have heard they are very loud. What do you guys do to quiet them down?

I wasn't happy with either of my Border sets.
Gil, cant help with the HEX5's, But have HEX6W,longs on a 17" wood Morrison riser. 9st string, 2 small wool puffs about 13gr each,BH 6@7/8", elevated rest, and its quiet. If I go 7@1/4" or more its loud. It likes stiff arrows. I'm pulling about 55# and shooting GT 75-95's with 250 up front . All my other bows take 55-75's with 200-250 up front.
Great limbs and riser, happy with both.
