Post by: Jeff Mccarthy on September 17, 2013, 03:03:00 PM
What is the recommended nocking point height for a PMAV when shooting split fingers? I will be shooting Carbon Express Heritage 150's. Thank You

I always take the lowest and highest recommended and divide the difference and start there. MY widow likes 9/16's however.

According to the catalog most Widows are 8 1/4 - 9"

I'm a little confused here.

I start at 1/2" on all my recurves and then shoot through paper at 6-8 feet to see if I got it right. Often, because I shoot 3 fingers under I have to go with 5/8" above horizontal.

If you are talking brace height, others have provided that info. I usually start at the minimum of recommended range and twist up 1/4" at a time to find the quietest BH.  If none work I go 1/4" below minimum.

Thanks arrow bender and Bowwild, I'm going to start at 1/2" and work from there. That gets me a good starting point. I appreciate the help.
